In addition, Songs Of Aloha (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) captures much of the film's evocative island atmosphere via contributions from traditional Hawaiian music legends Genoa Keawe and The Royal Hawaiian Serenaders as well as such masters of the slack-key guitar as Cyril Pahinui, Bobby Ingano, and Ledward Kaapana. The 19-track collection gathers Crowe's always wide-ranging musical selections, spanning such renowned artists as Beck, David Crosby, Fleetwood Mac, and The Blue Nile, contemporary singer/songwriters like Kurt Vile, Josh Ritter, and The Tallest Man on Earth, eclectic new acts including Radical Face and Evening Hymns, and acclaimed ambient/electronic musicians Vancouver Sleep Clinic and Jónsi & Alex-who contributed two brand-new compositions to the soundtrack. Songs of Aloha (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), curated by Academy Award-winning writer/director Cameron Crowe (Say Anything…, Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous) serves as the soundtrack companion to Crowe's upcoming Sony Pictures/Regency Enterprises film, Aloha. if you dont have this its a must so GO GET IT. every song on this CD has its own unique sound. Well if the headline dont tell you than just pick up the CD and find out yourself im sure youll love it as much as everyone else does.
Living dead girl is the best song! zombie did a hella job on this cd -Lilly. I believe rob zombie will one day become a legend! Weird as it is this could be used as electric dance music because of the heavy beats. The lyrics seem like theyre always coming from a psychopath on the fringe of society. An incredible electric orchestration of all sorts of sounds and heavy, heavy pounding with frightening lyrics and a scary voice. This guy will scare the pants off you and then some. I cannot wait for his next album, because its a sure thing that it wont disappoint.Įxcellent album from one of the best "dark" artists! And its also better than The Sinister Urge, which came out 3 years after this album. Hellbilly deluxe is better than all 3 White Zombie albums. Rob provides great vocals and hes got a great back-up band to go with him. To outsiders, the entire schlock enterprise may seem ridiculous or sound monotonous, but even the weak cuts here hit hard and give fans exactly what they want. The overlooked songs on this record are Demonoid Phenomenon, Spookshow Baby, Meet the Creeper, and The Ballad of Resurrection Joe and Rosa Whore. For most listeners, it doesnt matter if Hellbilly Deluxe is technically a White Zombie or Rob Zombie album, since it delivers the goods, arguably even better than Astro-Creep: 2000. Superbeast, Dragula, and Living Dead Girl are the best tracks.
